- Foster the conservation of Australian macro fungi.
Membership:
AFSG membership is $10 per person per year.
AFSG members must also be members of FNSSA.
Meetings
Monthly AFSG meetings will be in the Goodman Lecture theatre next to the State Herbarium and near the State Wine Centre on Hackney Road and online via Zoom.
The meetings run from 6pm – 7.30pm, although we may finish earlier.
Generally we will cover AFSG group business at the start of each meeting, with a guest speaker or workshop to follow.
The meetings will also provide an opportunity to share photos from previous forays and seek identification.
Please note that the order of guest speakers listed on the program may change depending on their availability.
Forays
Fungal forays are surveys conducted approximately 1 – 2 times per month during the fungal season.
Most forays are in Department for Environment and Water (DEW) parks and reserves. Selected fungal specimens are collected, by members with a permit, for deposition in the State Herbarium of South Australia.
